Welcome to Nice Guess! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nice Guess mobile application and related services. By using Nice Guess, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Nice Guess, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years old
• You agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
• You will comply with all applicable laws

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Nice Guess.

2. Description of Service

Nice Guess is a free multiplayer trivia game where players:

• Compete in 4-round matches answering questions from 12 categories
• Earn ratings and climb leaderboards
• Unlock achievements and avatars
• Play with friends or random opponents
• Learn interesting facts after each question

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• You must provide a unique nickname (3-20 characters, letters/numbers/underscores)
• You must create a secure password (minimum 6 characters)
• Email is optional but recommended for password recovery (can be added later in Settings)
• One account per person

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• Save your recovery code — it's the only way to recover a password-only account

3.3 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in cheating or exploitation
• Harass other players
• Use offensive nicknames
• Create multiple accounts for unfair advantage

4. Rules of Conduct

4.1 Prohibited Behavior

You agree NOT to:

• Use cheats, bots, or automated tools
• Exploit bugs or glitches (report them instead!)
• Intentionally disconnect to avoid losing (rage quit)
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
• Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate nicknames
• Attempt to access other players' accounts
• Reverse engineer or decompile the app

4.2 Quick Messages

In-game quick messages (emojis) are pre-defined and cannot be customized. Spamming messages (more than 3 per minute) may result in temporary muting.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

Nice Guess and all its content — including questions, facts, design, graphics, and code — are owned by us or our licensors. You may not:

• Copy or redistribute questions or facts
• Use our branding without permission
• Create derivative works based on our content

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create (e.g., your nickname). By using Nice Guess, you grant us a license to display your nickname and game statistics to other players.

6. Disclaimers

6.1 Service Availability

Nice Guess is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Preservation of game progress during technical issues
• Availability in all regions
• Compatibility with all devices

6.2 Question Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, some questions or facts may contain errors. Questions are for entertainment purposes and should not be relied upon as authoritative sources.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nice Guess and its creators shall not be liable for:

• Loss of game progress or account data
• Inability to access the service
• Actions of other players
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (€0 for free users).

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting a notice in the app
• Updating the "Last updated" date

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may delete your account.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.
